Guadalajara Zoo
This Magical place, besides the fact that is a first class option for kids, is also a healthy experience with one of the greatest wild fauna species from Mexico; the Zoo provides an important variety of attractions for visitors, from live shows, to an interactive educational center.

The Zoo’s Herpetary is considered one of the largest ones in Latin America with more than 90 different species, which are exhibited in gravels that are specially designed to enable appreciating the habitat and costumes from the reptile world.

One of this zoo’s distinguishing main aspects, is the achievement of reproducing species such as the Albino Cobra and the Swamp Crocodile; among the species that inhabit the Herpetary are, crocodile, snake, iguana, arthropod, turtle among others, although some of the most amazing ones are: the Green poisoning Frog, the spitting Cobra and the Yellow Nauyaca.

Among the shows that the Zoo features are, the Bird Show, an entertaining show where different tropical bird species show off their capabilities and beauty. The Reptile Show is another option, here, assistants get picked to touch a gigantic frog, hold an Indian python or see a crocodile from close distance; this show is only for the brave ones. Other attractions are the Nocturnary, the Marina Guard and the Zoo Mission of Guadalajara.

Patin Bionico (Byonic Skate)

A park specially designed to skate, offering a sodas joint to cool down after a long skating session at one of the perfect tracks. Rehilete Alcalde Park
This gigantic park with a surface of 70,875 m2 was inaugurated in 1961; it was perfectly thought to entertain the Jalisco locals. Among its attractions, it stands out the Monumental Waterfall Fountain with an artificial lake with two islands in which one of them is displayed a statue of the “Tenamaxtli” warrior, as well as a kid’s playground, the Jalisco State’s insignia shield elaborated on ceramic and also a flowered clock. Currently counts with an extended ground of mechanical rides plus two Ferris wheels (one small and one big), a small train with an old fashion machine from 1860 with 3 coaches, a go kart track, pedal boats, kid’s pool, two snack stands and a coffee shop.
